I’ve already posted Sarah and Mike’s photobooth slideshow and some of their fabulous details so here is the rest of the wedding story.  I love the photobooth,  adore the pretty details,  but what really gets me going are the great moments.  All these elements come together for me to tell a story.  And that is what its all about!

Sarah and Mike were both just glowing on the wedding day!  And so was everyone around them.  The whole wedding was just buzzing with excitement, joy and love.  It couldn’t have been more perfect!  Rebecca Stone of Duet Weddings did a great, great job with everything.  I love the comment that Sarah left on Rebecca’s blog, that every detail had a little of them in it.  I’ve worked with some amazing wedding coordinators and I think the best ones truly have that gift and put so much of themselves into the wedding!  As do the photographers.  It just makes sense!

So here are some more pics from the day and if you have some time a slideshow.  It’s so worth it!  And here’s a link to Eucalyptus Lane because I think its one of the most unique and awesome venues in Southern California.  Congrats again Sarah and Mike!!!

I have to say, I was totally blown away by this weekend’s wedding at Eucalyptus Lane!  Sarah and Mike are just two fun and fabulous people and their wedding had it all…great family, great friends, lots of love and amazing style! Rebecca Stone of Duet Weddings styled and coordinated the wedding and all I can say is WOW!  And the super talented Rachel Pally was not only a bridesmaid but designed the bridesmaid’s dresses as well.  I can’t wait to blog it.  So hang in there,  I’ve got 4 awesome and fun weddings to blog!  Coming soon :)

But to hold everyone over, here’s some photobooth fun.  The more I do these, the more I love them.  And they are so easy to blog fast because they take little work to get up and running.  Enjoy!

I thought since I’m about to depart on my second destination wedding of the year I should probably backtrack and blog my first destination wedding of the year from back in January at Las Caletas near Puerto Vallarta.  You may remember this location from Ann and Paul’s wedding last year.  (Yes i have a number of weddings to blog from the past few months but hang in there, they are on their way!)  Before that though one quick housekeeping note.  I will be out of the studio Wednesday afternoon through Monday evening and have limited access to email and phone.  All emails and phone calls will be returned Tuesday.  Also my comments were not working for about 10 days.  Apparently something got into my system and corrupted it.  I’m very sad to say all comments before last week were pretty much lost :(  But feel free to leave one now!

Katie and Marcus are such an awesome couple and they have such a unique story. Katie and Marcus met because Katie’s sister is married to Marcus’ brother. Yep you read that right! How cool is that. Their wedding night was filled with funny stories about their history and how and WHEN they actually became an item. I usually don’t blog family photos but I did this time. The first one is with Katie’s parents and family and the second one is with Marcus parents and family.  I don’t have any sisters for my husband’s brother to marry (and all my brothers are taken too!) but doesn’t that just sound like the funnest thing.  It was such a touching evening with these two families getting together for the second time to celebrate a wedding tying them even closer together.  So here are a few pics and guess what, a slideshow!  If this one doesn’t bring tears to your eyes I just don’t know what will!

I’m so happy to be sharing pics from Maggie and Evan’s wedding!!! This wedding was a total blast.  Every single person at this wedding had a rockin’ time, and I have the pics to prove it.  There was so much joy at this wedding I thought the couple might actually burst wide open.  And they were so smart in having the absolute best band I’ve ever heard play at a wedding – The Durell Coleman Band.  If you are having a wedding and plan on having a band you must talk to these guys!  I even got pulled out on the dance floor by the father of the groom for a minute.  So here’s a preview and a slideshow.  You gotta check this slideshow out and see how much fun this group was.  Congrats again Maggie and Evan!  I don’t even need to wish you a long happy life together, I know you’ve got that under control :)

WOW! Thats the word that comes to mind when I think of Morgan and Scott’s wedding. It was spectacular. When I met Morgan and Scott about a year ago I knew their wedding was going to be something wonderful. They have such a great outlook on life and such a genuine affection for each other. It was also amazing to me that they were high school sweethearts. Throughout the wedding planning it was great getting to know them better. Morgan’s excitement when she found THE Vera Wang dress she wanted. And all the planning for the photobooth which was going to be a first for me. And throughout it all these two were as cool as cucumbers! Morgan even was out buying her blue converse the day of the wedding. It’s like they knew, no matter how the wedding day went, whether all the little details panned out the way the expected or not, at the end of the day they would be husband and wife and that’s all that mattered. Just the kind of wedding I love to be a part of. It’s nice to have all the pretty wedding things but I love weddings that are full of emotion and love and this one was busting at the seams.

So no more waiting…I know this has been pure torture for Morgan.  Below are a few pics from the day and if you have about 13 minutes here’s the longest slideshow in Leigh Miller Photography history.  Morgan and Scott thank you so much for letting me be a part of your amazing wedding day.  It was such a pleasure, I loved every minute.  And thank you to your amazing family and friends.  A photographer couldn’t ask for a better group to work with!

A great big congrats to Jennifer and Jason who came all the way from Hawaii to get married in San Diego.  Since we had communicated only by email, the wedding day was the first time I actually met them.  They were both so fun and their family and friends wonderful.  And Jennifer has the most amazing eyes.  I could have photographed just her all day long (but that wouldn’t have be fair to Jason who himself is a nice looking chap!)  Also this post is getting a few more than usual party pics because the party was that great!

Congratulations guys!!! I’m not feeling too bad for you cause the wedding’s over since you get to go home to Hawaii.  If I come over to shoot a wedding hopefully we can meet up and you can show me around.  Here’s a little preview and a slideshow to hold you over until the entire wedding is done!

Love the look on Jason’s face as Jennifer is walking down the aisle.

Did I mention Jennifer’s amazing eyes?

These kids were getting the party started right!

And the party begins.

This is one of my favorite photos from the day.  I hope I have as much fun at my kids’ weddings :)

I am doing some major blog catching up this week and no better way to keep moving than to post some pics and a slideshow from Ann and Paul’s fabulous wedding in Puerto Vallarta. (You may remember Ann and Paul from an engagement session in Chicago. Here’s their blog post and slideshow.)

Now before this trip the only thing I knew about Puerto Vallarta is that that’s where the Love Boat used to dock all the time. So it has to be a great place right? Well it is. So full of life and color. And Ann and Paul didn’t have their wedding at any old place. They had it in Las Caletas, the former hideaway for director John Huston. You can read more about that here. So the day of the wedding we headed over early in the morning, a 45 minute boat ride from the mainland, to our own little island wedding paradise :)

As you would imagine, the wedding was great! I’ve gotten to know Ann pretty well by now and it was a pleasure spending an entire weekend with her and Paul and their family and friends. Just a great bunch of people. Fun and sometimes a little wild! Just like I like them :) Congrats again Ann and Paul. Hang on to that dress. Looking forward to the trash the dress shoot.

Here are a few photos from the day and of course Ann and Paul’s Las Caletas slideshow. It’s a long one but fun. Firedancers towards the end!

Ann’s lovely Lazaro dress.

The flowers.

Look at Ann workin it!

Tying the knot.

Afterwards.

Ok, maybe not everyone was so happy!
