Amy & Ana | Pinos Altos | New Mexico

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

I have so much to say about Amy and Ana’s wedding.  I’m so excited for these two and their life ahead together.  They are two extraordinary women!  Ana is actually a singer/songwriter, she even has her own wikipedia page.  How crazy is that! I met Amy and Ana at Shannon and Yossi’s wedding and they were also referred to me by Adam who was at Sarah and Mike’s wedding.  I just loved seeing everyone again in New Mexico!  This wedding was such a celebration.  The ceremony was held at the historic opera house in Pinos Altos and the reception at the Gila House hotel and gallery in Silver City.  Such unique settings!  And there were lots of personal touches that were so Amy and Ana. I especially was found of the peach rum jam they made themselves and gave out as wedding favors (still enjoying that!).  Lastly I must say, I’ve never seen a group of family and friends happier about a wedding than this group.  There was so much hugging I could have devoted an entire blog post to just hugging pics.  So on with the show…below are some of my favorite photos from the day and lots of New Mexico and wedding details.  There were so many great moments I had such a hard time editing down for the blog so be sure and check out their slideshow to see more!  Congrats you two and thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day.

Congrats to Scotia and Juan…

their stylish and sassy wedding was recently featured on the always fun Southern Weddings blog, part I and part II.  A great big thank you to Lara and all the gals over at Southern Weddings!

PS - If you know anyone getting married down south please pass my name along.  I’m searching for a 2009 wedding where there are big porches, lemonade, jack daniels and where people say “ya’ll” and “give me some sugar.”

Congrats to M & C…

Amanda & Stephen…

fun around Boston. I was so excited to finally be meeting Amanda and Stephen on election day in Boston. Our meeting actually had nothing to do with choosing the next president but with something important nonetheless. The Engagement Photos!!!  Even though we hadn’t met until the night before the engagement session, I felt like I had been long time friends with Amanda.   We’ve exchanged many emails about the wedding, the planning, and the photography and I’ve been following her wedding adventures as none other than Miss Hot Cocoa of the Wedding Bee Blog.  She tells the story of planning a chinese/jewish wedding with such genuine insight and wit, even sharing some of her thoughts about choosing a photographer (that puts it in terms all females will certainly understand) and preparing for your engagement session – Part I and Part II.  I’m so excited and literally cannot wait until the wedding day when I get to team up again with not only the lovely bride and groom but also Angel Swanson of Events of Love and Splendor.  What fun we are all going to have!  (and you know its really ALL about the photographer having fun – haha!)  But no more waiting…thank you Amanda and Stephen for the tour of Harvard and Beacon Hill can’t wait to see you in March!
