The city that never sleeps…

September 10, 2008

Yep!  That’s right, today I’m off to NYC for Colleen and Jimmy’s wedding.  Jimmy is a NYC firefighter and I have a feeling this is going to be one heck of a celebration.  And I have lots and lots of other fun stuff on my agenda including meeting up with three of my past brides/couples.  How fun is that!  Some of them I haven’t seen for 2 years.

All this means I will be out of the studio until the 16th.  I will be checking emails and getting back to people while I’m in the city but I really plan on being out and about and not chained to the computer so response time may be a little longer.  Thank you for your patience.  I promise to come back with lots to blog, including 3 weddings I haven’t gotten up yet.

And since there is no blog posting without photos, here are a few from the workshop I attended yesterday in Solvang with the fabulous, with a capital F, Jose Villa.  (To see more of Jose’s work be sure and check out his blog.)  The workshop was great and just what I needed to help me prioritize where I want to go next with my business.  An  added bonus was hanging out with my friend Jen Rau.  She’s so funny and sweet and I wonder if we are really long lost cousins or something ;)  So here are a few pics of the lovely Lacie, who is also a photographer,  and Nikki.  We each got 3 minutes to boss around these poor gals and they were awesome.  Here are a few pics from my 3 minutes.  Check back in a week or so and I will post some of my Holga pics too!
