Christine and Reggie’s wedding at Boaventura was so beautiful and fun I’m going to have to blog it in two parts.  So here’s part I, full of details and some portraits.  Come back tomorrow for a full rundown of the wedding and so much more!

what’s THAT about.  Yes, I’m suffering from a case of I haven’t had time to blog this week and I’m feeling incredibly guilty.  So I’m confessing and hoping to start next week with a clean slate!  I have a great wedding this weekend in Solvang and about 5 others to blog too with 2 whole week of no weddings.  So look out.  There’s gonna be lots of new stuff on the Leigh Miller Photography Blog.  In the meantime here are Sylvia and Adrian.  I heart them.  Be back soon!

I know I’m not the only photographer in the world right now who wishes time would stop while they kept working for about a week but I just had to take a moment and share some of my nyc and jose villa workshop holga pics.  I’ve had my holga forever but have just really started to enjoy it.  Wedding stuff coming soon….I have 4, yes !4!, weddings to blog.  Yikes!!!

NYC was a blast and I certainly could have stayed a few more days but it’s nice to be home!  Today’s my husband’s birthday and tomorrow is our anniversary so today I’m going to be attending to emails and phone calls and then be back to work for real on Thursday.  Here are a few pics of New Yorker’s I took while walking around the city.  Just random people I stopped and asked if I could take their picture.  I will post more about the trip later this week.  It was exciting.  I met with a few past brides, a really awesome coordinator and got together with a lot of my NYC photog friends. And I met and talked to someone really, really famous – hehe!  But I promise I didn’t act like an idiot.  More soon. Have a great week!

Yep!  That’s right, today I’m off to NYC for Colleen and Jimmy’s wedding.  Jimmy is a NYC firefighter and I have a feeling this is going to be one heck of a celebration.  And I have lots and lots of other fun stuff on my agenda including meeting up with three of my past brides/couples.  How fun is that!  Some of them I haven’t seen for 2 years. 

All this means I will be out of the studio until the 16th.  I will be checking emails and getting back to people while I’m in the city but I really plan on being out and about and not chained to the computer so response time may be a little longer.  Thank you for your patience.  I promise to come back with lots to blog, including 3 weddings I haven’t gotten up yet. 

And since there is no blog posting without photos, here are a few from the workshop I attended yesterday in Solvang with the fabulous, with a capital F, Jose Villa.  (To see more of Jose’s work be sure and check out his blog.)  The workshop was great and just what I needed to help me prioritize where I want to go next with my business.  An  added bonus was hanging out with my friend Jen Rau.  She’s so funny and sweet and I wonder if we are really long lost cousins or something ;)  So here are a few pics of the lovely Lacie, who is also a photographer,  and Nikki.  We each got 3 minutes to boss around these poor gals and they were awesome.  Here are a few pics from my 3 minutes.  Check back in a week or so and I will post some of my Holga pics too! we average out to about a normal sized person…  That’s what Audrey told me when I met David for the first time.  He’s tall, she’s short, but they both are fun and we had a blast doing their engagement photos around downtown San Diego.  See you guys SOON I can’t wait for the wedding!

i’ve been dying to get myself on a computer here in
thailand b/c i want to thank you for all your hard
work on saturday!  i don’t need to see the photos to
know they are going to be amazing.  (though i’ll be
checking your blog every morning just in case you put
something up – ha ha!)

you and ned were the best.  you are fun, and kind, and
thoughtful, and enthusiastic, and just made the whole
experience extra wonderful.  thank you for your
calmness and patience when the day was so hectic.

i hope you had a good time at the wedding and were
able to get something to eat.  if not, i owe you
dinner.
