Lu Lu and Charles are just too fabulous.  I know I come on here wedding after wedding and talk about how wonderful my couples are and it probably seems too good to be true, BUT IT’S NOT!!!  I’ve had the most fun getting to know Lu Lu and Charles and shooting their engagement, wedding and day after.  They’ve definately seen me at my best (sometimes for no reason at all i just tip over, it’s normal really!)  Before they left for their honeymoon a few days after the wedding I received the nicest email from Lu Lu that really melted my heart -

Just wanted to shoot you a quick email before we leave for our honeymoon. Thank you
so much for your hard work on Sat. Thanks for getting to the mission bright and early on
Monday (I was exhausted, I don’t know how you do this!), I had a fun time,
despite loosing the face making contest (really, I can’t do it!).  I just want
to say that it’s been a pleasure to work with you, you are not only extremely
talented but a genuinely nice person with a great sense of humor. I will remember
your stories and you falling on your butt for a long, long, time! :) I have
thoroughly enjoyed looking at your work for this past year (yes, I am a blog
stalker), it has offered me a great escape when things got stressful to see beauty
and happiness in others on their wedding day.
Needless to say I can’t wait to see the pictures!!

How awesome is that?  My favorite part of that entire email is how Lu Lu enjoyed seeing everyone else’s joy and happiness through photos while planning her own wedding.  She’s such a beautiful person inside and out!

So here is the lowdown on the wedding it was at the newly remodeled and looking great Westlake Village Inn.   LuLu has no idea who designed her wedding dress (she bought it last minute in New York at The Bridal Garden,  they receive donated dresses by designers and in turn donate the proceeds to charity!) but her reception dress was Melissa Sweet.  The wedding details were fabulous shades of purples, blues and pale pinks, initially inspired by Monet, but I think later more inspired by Prada ;)  The Manolos were a gift from Charles.  The shoes he proposed with!

I’m going to start off the post with the cute Save the Dates Lu Lu made using one of my favorite pics from the engagement session. I was sad to hear the whale is no longer there :(  Thanks again Lu Lu and Charles and pics from the day after session are coming soon.  Charles you really rocked that session!

  19. What a stunning wedding, and so well captured! Really lovely, and similar to my wedding colors.
But, I have to ask… who makes those stunning gold shoes with the blue flower in the mood board? I can’t quite make out the label…
