that there are going to be a lot of people checking my blog Monday morning for a sneak peak of the lovely Nari on her wedding day. So even though I’m going to be up and off to Vegas at 5 am, here’s one little pic. And come back soon, I am traveling and have a busy, busy schedule the next few weeks but I have the following blog posts to catch up on – 3 weddings, 2 engagements, 1 bridal, 1 portrait, and 2 boudoir sessions. Whew!!!

ps – Don’t worry, there was a groom too. Some spiffy photos of Wyatt coming soon with the real blog post. As well as some amazing details pulled together by Angel Swanson of Events of Love and Splendor.
because of what it means. It means that the Foundation Workshop is over and I’ve got to move on. But hopefully I will carry with me what I learned that week and all the great people who were there. Here are the great team members who helped me along my journey. They are all awesome and talented people! Go check out their work, you will be amazed.

I also want to thank the lovely people at the Allen Senior Center for letting me tag along and bug the heck out of them for a few days. The members and staff were just wonderful in making me feel welcome. I hope my slideshow does them justice.
Here’s my final slideshow as presented on the last night. And of course a photo cause without it this post would look naked :0 If you are a photographer and on the fence about this workshop, jump off that fence and run as fast as you can to sign up!!!

yep that’s right, by one of my favorite photographers in the world. But more on that in a minute.
Last week I had the privilege to be a part of the FW6 – the Foundation Workshop. I really can’t put into words what an amazing experience it was. The premise of Foundation is to improving storytelling/photojournalism skills – the brain child of Huy Nguyen. Photographers from all over the world are there and we each get assigned a story that we go out and shoot. For two days we are emersed in the story and presenting our images to our teams and team leaders. We get an amazing critique on how we are doing and how to improve. The end product is the slideshow we present but this workshop is about the journey, not the end. And it’s about the people too. The photographers present and the subjects. I have made friends for life at Foundation.
I haven’t even had time since returning to blog the images but one of my favorite photographers on the planet put some images on her blog, including a few of mine. Anna Kuperberg was on staff at FW6 and she has been an inspiration to me since I found her website in 2004 when I was just getting my feet wet in photography. Be sure and go to her blog if you want to take a look at what she posted. And stay there for a while if you want to see some inspiring photography!
And if you want to see more pics from the workshop be sure and check out the Foundation’s website and blog.
I will be posting more about this late including links to all my teammates. I’m missing all of them and craving Thai food!!! Who knew?!?
One more pic from my assignment – the Senior Recreation Center of Allen Texas. More coming soon…
