This will be my last opportunity to post about the contest as I’m off to Sonoma this afternoon for a wedding tomorrow and then fly back to shoot a wedding in Del Mar on Sunday. So I just wanted to give a quick update.
Just over 2 days left to vote. See all the details here. It’s been a blast doing this and I’m surprised at how many times a day I check to see who’s ahead. I’m not good with surprises or suspense, just ask my husband. I love to get my BD presents early. That’s the best part about my BD! But back to the contest.
As I’ve mentioned before the engagement contest is especially close. In the past 3 days each couples has been ahead at least once! But without giving anything away, two couples are now neck in neck and one is falling a little behind. So get your friends and family to vote! I feel almost like I do when I’m bidding on something on ebay and waiting, waiting, waiting until the last minute to go !BAM! and win :) I don’t know why I feel this nervous excitement too! I’ve thought maybe I will just log in Monday morning and find out who the winners are then. Will I make it though? NO WAY!!!
Voting ends Sunday at midnight CA time. I hope it’s been fun as much fun for all of you who entered as it has been for me. It’s been great getting to know a little about you all. Good luck – Leigh
I’m heading over the pond as they say for a wedding in Canterbury, Kent in early September and am planning to spend some time in Paris. I’m looking for a fun couple who would like to do a day after shoot (in wedding dress, etc…) or an engagement shoot. And what’s more awesome than Paris? (Well maybe Greece but since I’ve never been to either place and this time I’m going to be in Paris, we will just say Paris!!!) You must be available September 3rd. If you’re interested please send me an email and include a photo of the two of you and if you want to do the day after a photo of your wedding dress too. leigh@leighmillerphotography.com I will be in touch.
One little pic from Elizabeth and Ben’s day after in Cabo just to get the ball rolling! That Ben is one hot tamale – ole!

While I was in Mexico for Elizabeth and Ben’s wedding I had the great opportunity to meet up with Courtney and Aaron whos wedding I’m going to shoot next May in Cabo. It was so nice to finally meet them and to do their engagement photos in Mexico too! We had such a great time running around San Jose Del Cabo, which is my favorite little Cabo town. It’s less touristy and has a fun art district and locals hanging around. We ate at El Spicy Cooper’s which for some reason is now painted green. You might think its an Irish Pub but in reality it’s a awesome Italian restaurant. I eat there everytime I got to Cabo and it’s always been good. Be sure and ask if Jimbo is working.
Now on to the pics! Thanks again Courtney and Aaron for trusting me and letting me do what I wanted :) May will be here before you know it!

I’m excited to report I’m caught up on all my domestic blogging and now the international blogging can begin. Something in me just hates to blog out of order :( I have lots to share and can’t wait to get it all up. Yesterday I returned from Elizabeth and Ben’s wonderful Cabo wedding at Las Ventanas. We had a blast doing welcome dinner, wedding and of course day after pics! Also I got to meet up with Courtney and Aaron a couple whos wedding I’m shooting in Cabo next year and we did their engagement photos in San Jose Del Cabo. My favorite little Cabo town. I also had a few more shoots and did some personal work too! Yes, like it or not, I will be posting it all here – woohoo!!! So hang on. I have two weddings this weekend and then I will back to blogging like crazy before I leave for Cape Cod, NYC and England. I love to travel but am happy to report that pretty much rounds out all my travel for the rest of the year except for the possible portrait session here or there :) Thanks for listening. And one little Cabo pic to hold you over. Las Ventanas, pretty close to heaven on earth :)

I was so happy to be shooting Bethany and Brad’s wedding because I shot Brad’s brothers wedding last year. Its always a lot of fun to come back and see everyone again. Seems like I’ve been doing a little of that lately! Anyway from the time they booked me Bethany has been talking about the really cool venue they chose and she was right. What I love about it is all the cool stuff around like the barn!!! Must be the country gal in me but I loved the scenery. It gave us some great photo opportunities. Congrats guys! Brad it was so fun seeing your wonderful family again. And Bethany meeting yours. It was a pleasure to be a part of your wedding day. I’m so happy for you both.

We had a bit of extra time before the ceremony and made the most of it. Of course Bethany’s a natural and also was willing to do anything and not at all worried about getting her dress dirty. And that was before the wedding. My kind of bride!

I loved the decorations.

The celebration after the wedding.

Brad shows off his bling.

Aren’t they awesome! And don’t you just love the scenery? I’d love to shoot a bride or couples session at this location.

Erica and Brent, whos wedding I photographed last year.

Times almost up to vote for your favorite couple for the engagement and day after giveaway in New York City. If you don’t know what I’m talking about you can read all about it here. If any of the finalists are reading this I just want to give you a heads up that the Engagement Session is especially close! The frontrunner changes almost daily so hit up all your friends and family and make sure they vote for you. I have a feel I won’t know who wins until midnight on the 12th. This has been so fun and I want to once again thank those couples who entered. You are all wonderful.
I’m back from Cabo and I have so much catching up to do! So please bear with me in the next few weeks as I blog a bunch of weddings and other shoots. It’s that time of year :)
On to Debbie and Grant’s wonderful wedding in Dana Point. (You may remember them from their engagement session.) When I initially met with Debbie and Grant (who’s also called Billy but for the purposes of this post will remain Grant) I immediately thought they were wonderful. They both have the best personalities and also, bonus, Debbie’s a crier. Yep, thats right we photographers love those emotional types. At dinner she told me how Grant proposed and I was almost crying myself. But on the other hand she’s also a laugher. She has the best laugh and smile. It just lights up a room. Needless to say, I could tell they would be a lot of fun to work with and were really in love with each other. So the wedding day was a blast. They had a great wedding party, family and friends. Grant’s dad is even from a little town in Kansas not far from where I moved as a teenager and went to high school. It’s a small world!
So now on to the preview!!! I hope you guys are having a wonderful time in Greece. I’m so envious!
The view from the Blue Lantern Inn where Debbie got ready.

Debbie and her niece the flower girl.

Heading down to see Grant before the ceremony.

And there he is.

Lots of pretty details. And I love starfish.

It was fun to watch all the people at Cannon’s watch the wedding

I think even without the glasses I would have know this lady was a VIP!

This pretty much sums it up. This was Debbies last chance to be the center of attention cause its all about Grant from this point forward ;)

Love the first dance.

Those Kansas guys know how to boogey!
