I love shooting…

March 6, 2006

in the Gaslamp District because there are just so many cool place to shoot! And with clients like Jacqueline and Dan its easy to get great pics :) Sunday afternoon I met them down there to do some engagement photos and we had a great time, they were so easy. We found the coolest restaurant and bar that let us shoot inside. This place looked like something out of a movie and I think Dan and Jacqueline did a great job looking like movie stars. You guys were great and make my job so easy :) See you in June for the big day!

for my favorite flower shop that is going to be featured in C-California’s Lifestyle Magazine.

Che Bella is owned and operated by the Bassi family, Jim & Carla and their daughter Thea, you can barely see Thea in the photo below. (Look for Thea early next week as I will doing a bridal shoot with her on Friday). I cannot tell you how much I love this place. I swear if I worked there I’d never want to go home. Its just so beautiful. I dream one day that the walkway up to my door can look like Che Bella!!!

While I was there I got into a little earring trouble as these earrings handmade by Deborah Berry were just a little too tempting to pass up! I bought the second and third pair from the right :) Deborah has the most amazing line of jewelry called Rarebird and she makes it all by hand. Here’s how to reach her if you are in need of some fabulous ornaments :) 619-246-8442

The final product that will be submitted to C magazine. I love, love, love peonies :)

Melissa and Brian. Today I got to shoot engagement pics for two great people whom I’ve gotten to know over the past few months since they hired me to shoot their May wedding. Melissa works at the gym where I try to drag my sorry butt each week as well as does life coaching. She is just so spunky and full of energy. And Brian works for Apple, is an Apple guru, as well as an amazing artist. You can see his work here. We ran the streets of Little Italy this Thursday taking their pics and I have to thank all the great businesses that let us invade their space and take some photos: Architectural Salvage, Che Bella (the only florist I will use and awesome great people – see my post and pics from Saturday) and Chi Chocolat. Really what engagement session is complete without a stop to the chocolate store? Thanks for the great afternoon in Little Italy guys. Melissa I will see you at the gym this week :) I promise~

Thanks for making the trip down guys it was great fun and and you were great models! I’m very much looking forward to the wedding in June!
