Well if you are a regular visitor to the Leigh Miller Photography Blog you know what happened last time Mimi, Gabe and I tried to take some pics. I’m happy to say Chris is doing much, much better and I was able to make up the engagement session within a week!
Now last week I talked about what amazing people these two are and this week they are even higher on my list of favorite people. Gabe who is in a band (- you can see more about his band here - www.innawaymusic.com -) is friends with skateboarder and musician Ray Barbee. He told Ray last week about Chris’ accident and Gabe showed up today with all this great stuff Ray sent to Chris- including a signed deck! Chris is going to freak when he gets back from KS. I really am just so thankful to have such wonderful clients and people in my life :) Mimi and Gabe you guys ROCK!!!
Here are some pics from their session part 2.
This may just be one of my all time faves, as far as engagement pics go!

We had some beautiful California skies working in our favor.

You know I love a good foot shot!

What a lovely couple!

I think this is the old fashioned way men used to pick their brides. Just scoop ‘em up and carry ‘em off!!!
Due to travel plans, we were forced to celebrate Christmas a little early this year. (darnit!) Actually it’s kind of a joke in my house ’cause I’m way worse than most kids when it comes to waiting for Christmas to come. Part of the fun for me has always been finding the presents beforehand or getting to open some early :) Well my phone broke the week before Christmas, OOPS!, so my hubby HAD to go ahead and give me my Christmas present early. It just happened to be a new phone :) the treo, which is not just a phone but kind of like a little computer. Basically I can now check my email anywhere - while in line at the grocery, waiting for the movie to start, - well you get what I’m saying.
So the boys got their presents early too. Here are some pics. Guess what??? They got phones too. Now they can’t hide from me when they are out and if there’s an accident at the skatepark again Chris can call me!

Chris trying out the phone. He got the ROCKR!

Curtis has a little photographer in him.
Chris turns the tables on me :) Once we figure out how to get those pics from the phone to computer we will post them.
Curtis calling Chris. Apparently this is very funny.
Mrs. Jones is sad ’cause she didn’t get a phone. And the boys are leaving tomorrow :(

My cute hubby working on setting up my phone for me. Thanks babe. Merry Christmas. And you will get your present on Christmas, sorry!
Tonight we were off to our yearly ice skating venture. Well I don’t really ice skating ’cause I’m opposed to spending Christmas in a cast but the men in my life are FANTASTIC ice skaters. So we thought we’d give the rink at the Hotel Del Coronado a try, since it’s new. It was really nice. Not as large as Horton Plaza but close to some coffee and that was GRRREAT :) Ryan - my hubby - and the boys gave it their all - showing off their best skating skills.

It didn’t take long for a snowball fight to break out!
Ryan and Curtis “posing”. I think Chris was recovering from the snowball fight.
Revenge is a dish best served COLD - brrrr. It was cold out, well relatively speaking. I had to step in here and put things to a stop ’cause I was afraid things were going to get ugly!

Ryan and Curtis getting a word from the Elf.
Here we followed up the skating with some nice cold ice cream. Like most folks do :)
